The first few weeks prior to and into a new operation are important in terms of building confidence and ensuring the operator’s ability to provide the contracted aircraft availability and on-time departures expected by the end customer. the OEM will ofteny provide a field service representative (FSR) for the initial months of an operation. The FSR’s role is to support the operator in any way he can, but he is not normally part of the daily operations.
